Since 1962, Greenwood Lassie League (GLL), a non-for-profit 501(c)3
girl's softball organization, has been providing education and
leadership for girls' ages 4-18 who want to learn the art of softball
playing. This program gives the girls the opportunity to have fun over
the spring and summer months, while teaching them skills such as
problem solving, hand-eye coordination, and how to be a team
player. This past year, GLL had over 220 girls participating in the
program, giving the organization 20 teams. Along with those girls are
many volunteers including a Board of Directors, coaches, and countless
parents helping any way they can. The Greenwood Moose Lodge leases the
land behind their building to GLL at a very reasonable rate. GLL has
worked tirelessly over the years to prepare this land. Through
fundraising and generous sponsors, GLL has been able to make
significant changes to the ball diamonds. Our future endeavors include
improving water management, leveling outfields, repairing dugouts,
adding additional bleachers, and improving the walkways.
